Corruption

Yeah we see it in the police force
How they go about and enforce
Sometimes I wonder, did that evidence come from the right source?
Do some cops really act so rough and coarse, of course!!
So I suppose there's corruption in the cops 
But there's also corruption against the cops
You see that every day all the time on the news
All of that in my mind got me really confused
Some kid got shot in a rough-type neighborhood
It was by a cop, the media say, who wasn't quite good
Thought that the kid packed heat
And when he started running, usin only his feet
The cop pulled his own and gave the kid a seat
Now I don't know the real story but only what the media says
So we expect the cop to go to court and confess
But we never really think that the cop might've been right
In our minds we say that the cop had great sight
And when finding the oppurtunity to take a kid down without a fight
Pulling a gun and shooting is what he did or might
Yeah and guess who'se the one who'se hiding the true light
Reverend Al Sharpton at your service at the time of your plight
But you can't be white, he hides that beneath the surface
Cause any crime against a black, got Guliani sort of nervous
Cause every time Reverend Al is there to point the finger
Saying that the cops aren't there to serve us
Sometimes I wish he wouldn't hinder
Let the truth be shown and let the incident burn down to cinder
In some court cases there are sometimes exceptions
Cops are the ones who'll be pulling the deceptions
But you have to think clear and Al, forget about the elections
