Illegit was born in Ontario California and has lived in that area his whole life. Until he left for college at the beginning of the 1998 school year, to go to Fresno State. Started liking hip-hop around 1994-1995. He started Mcing a couple of years later. The name illegit comes from the fact that he is 'Ill', and 'legit'. Is part of the group IONS which consists of Illegit, Jupitar Ozonous, Dead Eye, Khaos (I. Anterra), Triune, Truth, IQ and Alpha

I.O.N.S. (In One Nation Synchronized) is a group that consists of 8 members: Jupitar Ozonous, Megatron, Illegit, Khaos (Iras Anterra), Triune, IQ Halo, Dead Eye, and Alpha. Most of the production for the group is done by Jupitar Ozonous, but Khaos and Alpha also make beats. Many say that their sound is "east coast", but in reality, it is just dope hip-hop music.
