History:
My MC name is Mathias MC, I chose Mathias from my middle name. My
alias' are the Math and Mathmatick. I was born 3-13-83 in Silver
Spring, MD. I lived in the urban neighborhoods of Wheaton/Kensington
Maryland until I was about 5. Ever since then I moved to Olney, MD, a
sub-urban neighborhood. The first rap I honestly, ever first got
interested in was Dr.Dre and Snoop Doggy Dogg, before them I was really
to young to understand the concept of music, plus my parents had gotten
the bad image of rap from the media, but now they do understand how
creative hip-hop can be. I never really started writing rhymes until I
was about 13 or 14 and in the 8th Grade. My first song written was with
my friend Gian a.k.a. Hazardouz MC, and it was 3 verses about this kid
who talked shit, and I ended up beating up, and some other ho in our
school, we showed and told many, and a lot thought it was pretty good.
After that another friend of mine in my Math Class would have me write a
freestyle up about shit going on in the class, or something that happend
that day, or other random shit. I was descent, any older heads would've
quickly realized I was a rookie. A couple days I'd go to my Math Class
friend's house and we'd record us rapping over instrumentals all night.
It was the Summer of '97 I really got into Internet Hip-Hop, where I
came across Freestyle boards on AOL, Prodigy, or the Web. I'd drop a
couple verses and flows, and would come up with respect, and enjoyed it,
after a while though it came out to bring nothing. I knew I had to get
a deal, but really I should wait a couple more years to mature and get
better so I wouldn't come out wack. Then in 9th Grade and in 10th
Grade, I really stopped 'writing' rhymes. All I ever would do would
verbally/vocally freestyle, not writing it down, just vocally doing it,
and remembering the best lines to write into a verse, or just record the
freestyle, and take out the bad parts, if there were any. In late 10th
Grade I went to a couple Open Mic sessions, just to watch, not get a
part of, I noticed a lot of those emcees could've easily been using
written freestyles, and there really is no real wear to prove if you are
or aren't using pre-writes. So after that, I'd have friends give me
topics to Freestyle about, which have gone from Spam, to the Colorado
Shooting, and also let me flow and every 15 - 20seconds say a word and
I'll rhyme that for 15 - 20 seconds while they keep giving me words,
which really does show if you have any skill or not. Now I'm working
on making a Demo to send in to companies, and I've been freestyling on
the boards all over again. Lately I've been freestyling at the
http://www.ughh.com MC Board. Also, when flowing, I love runnin' my
mouth I've made one song dissing a lot of heads it goes A+, Steve
Stoute, Foxy Brown, Suge Knight, Master P, Mase, Puffy, Johnny Blaze
Clothing, Three6Mafia, YGD Top Dogg, Tha Realest, Jay-O Felony, Keith
Sweat, Tyrese, Erykah Badu, Coolio, No Limit, Cash Money, Craig Mack,
TLC, Destinys Child, and a lot more all in one song. I am what they
call a Battle MC.
