Do i, need a religion to define me??
Remind me, of all the sins and rules to follow
Of the god up in the sky, of what will come of tomorrow,
Of the reasons for our sorrow, and why, 
Some men's hearts are so hollow
What is religion? Is religion the answer to man's problems
Is believing in all of that, really gonna solve em??
Lookin back in history,? through the shrouded cloaks of mystery
I see, wars and battles fought in the name of Jesus
Thousands of religious trying hard to please us
By their way of vision of the light
That heaven is a step a way, god in plain sight
Crusades for a different god
Holy missions, I find it odd
That death and destruction, a result of religion
The devil an obstruction, must avoid collision
I find it hard to express what I feel in my heart
Am I to go by, what they say was the start
Of mankind, is life's existence limited in time
Why is it that what I believe 
Can't be accepted, they say the devil has decieved
To those who don't believe in god, is it a lack of faith
As of late, i realize that it's a result of man's mentality
A result of the hate that has evolved and caused so much fatality
To those who don't believe in god, how can you blame them
You condemn them for not being able to understand, you say save them (from 
what!!??)
Man's charactersitics have brought about curiosity, 
And with curiosity comes a bit of doubt, animal ferocity
That causes them to commit crimes, what is it all about
A lacking personality in man's mind, has caused the lack of faith
To those who belive in god, is there really a thing as fate
Has your life been woven out, your death without a doubt
To those who belive in god, and are definitely religious
Why do you contradict others beliefs, and act at times visious
If there's one god, how do you know you're in the right faith
There are so many other beliefs, that you condemn with hate
To those who belive in god, is he really so harsh
That those who can't find it in themselves to be strictly religious
Are already condemned to hell, for being suspicious
Man, supposedly created by god, was modeled after Him
Man, is suspectful, curious, and wantful of every whim
These are chracteristics that cause a lack of faith
And the lack of faith is what religion can't stand 
To those who don't understand, i wish to give you a hand
Cause that's also one of man's virtues courtesy of God himself
I'm not seeking great knowledge, just some understanding and good health
I dont' want to base my beliefs on textbooks and what they say
I'll listen to my own soul, courtesy of god, and follow my own way...
