"The Unknown, not to be mistaken as being unrenowned, but as lyricists with a powerful, mysterious style. The powers of the Unknown are impossible to defend against, that's our sound. Our music embodies what we see in life and the things we've been through. This gives our music a clear face. Blended together, we create a complex form of hip hop showing maturity and lyrical greatness. Our sound is, to us flawless. We stay true to ourselves, and try to avoid the fascinations with materialistic possessions, and the glorification of violence. We rap from the soul and stay focused on things such as the betterment of life. Along with lessons in life, we possess battle skills for any MC's who step up. This shows our versatility, we are well rounded and very hungry. While searching for a record deal, we've been in contact with some major labels and also a couple of well known artists who've helped us, but we still haven't locked anything down. The Album will be dropping in February 2000."

"We have been working for the love of hip hop for several years now. We may not be, or sound like the greatest Mc's of all time or be the cats in the limelight, shining right now. You may love us or call us wack, you have your own opinion. But respect us for doing what we're doing. We think there's enough talent here for hundreds of thousands to enjoy. Our deep songs may influence lives, and they may not, but if we can make one person think deep and come out with something positive it's worth it. We've been influenced by years and years of songs that touched our souls when we were down and out, songs that we could relate to. Then maybe this is just a thank you to those Mc's who helped us through the struggle of growing up. We have a love for this music because it uplifted us, and now we trying to uplift others. We also support the underground, the underdog, and the underrated. For those who feel us, all of our music is dedicated to you, and those who don't feel us, someday maybe you will."

The Unknown are composed 1/2 Entity and 50/50, hailing from Grand Rapids, MI, this duo are aiming to get a deal, but will release their own LP independently regardless of having a label or not.
